  • A great red stag stopper
Review by Colin .270 WSM / (Posted on 10/24/2019)
Shot from my Sako 85, re barrelled with a Bartling match barrel, 63grains of Vit N560, with a muzzle velocity of 3200 fps, At 400 yards it has pinpoint accuracy with devastating effect. The bullet mushrooms perfectly imparting maximum energy into your prey. I have shot many lowland red stags and not one has moved more than 25 yards from the point of impact. The lowland red stags in England are fairly large beasts, with a larder weight of 400 lbs plus. I will not shoot prey with any other bullet, nor would I recommend any other hunting bullet to my friends.
  • Robust powerhouse!!!

I have killed 8 Elk with this bullet over 60 grains of H4831SC out of a 270 Winchester Model 70 as well as countless deer. Muzzle velocity is 3,080 fps. Elk have ranged from 110 yards to 411 yards. Not one has made it more than 20 yards. Excellent penetration as well as very accurate. Average 3/4" groups out of a stock supergrade Model 70. This load is excellent on deer, although almost too tough as the bullet almost always exits. On elk, I usually find a little ball of lead under the far side hide. Awesome, robust powerhouse of a bullet. Shot a bedded deer front on at 10 yards last year, never was able to stand up after the shot. Sold on this bullet.
