Still the best...Review by Ray / (Posted on 3/14/2020)Went to the range with yet another new 6.5 rifle to test loaded with Nosler 120 grain Ballistic Tips and came away with groups under half MOA. Best group was 0.188" @ 100yds. Most of my rifles have 1:8 twist, including the one today in 6.5x47 L, but occasionally I'll throw in a 1:9. Doesn't matter. This bullet consistently shoots lights out more regularly than anything else. Best part is devastating terminal performance on game from 75 yards out. I've shot animals with muzzle velocities ranging from 3300 f/s to 2800 f/s and results are the same from small Southern whitetail to huge desert mule deer. They fall over and kick for about 5 - 10 seconds, and bullets are recovered about half the time just under the hide on the far side alwsys retaining almost exactly the advertised 60% of original weight with perfect 2X+ diameter expansion. The nose rapidly expands and sometimes fragments causing massive hydraulic shock and small "missiles." Some people complain about meat damage, which can happen if you hit them wrong, but you will never lose an animal unless you just graze them.
Newton AccuracyReview by Greg / (Posted on 5/15/2017)I have an old .256 Newton that has a worn barrel and is very sensitive to loads. The 120 g Nosler #26120 shoots more accurately than any other bullet I have used by far. Has brought back 3-shot groups into the 1.5-2 inch range at 100 yards. Thanks for a great bullet that has extended the life of a fine old rifle.
