  • Works on Moose
Review by Short track / (Posted on 12/9/2019)
The Moose didn't like it very much. Hit a rib.. then deflected sideways, and across both lungs. The exit was on the far side front leg. No blood trail, but the Moose only went 10 yards.
No magnum necessary. 6.5 is plenty.
  • Paired with Savage Lightweight Hunter
Review by Tyerone / (Posted on 11/9/2018)
I've used Nosler's Ballistic Tip bullet as part of another manufacturer's loading for 30.06 (168 gr from a Weatherby Vanguard) with .5 MOA accuracy and no problems on Whitetail Deer from 50 to 200+ yards. Why not try this in my new Savage Lightweight Hunter, 20 " barrel 6.5mm Creedmoor? Time will tell on Whitetail, but no problem on paper -- sub MOA out of the box on a new barrel not yet broken in!
