30 Caliber 220 Grain Ballistic Tip® Hunting Round Nose Bullet (50ct)

New in 2018, the .308 Ballistic Tip® Round Nose bullet was built for subsonic use, designed for much lower velocities than its product family counterparts. Loaded into a 300 BLK and impacting at 1000fps, this bullet maintains 95% weight retention after 12" of expansive penetration.
Optimal Performance Velocity: 1000-2500 fps
Bullet Info

1. Nosler® Ballistic Tip®

Streamlined polymer tip, color-coded by caliber, resists deformation in the magazine, and initiates expansion upon impact.

2. Fully-Tapered Jacket and Special Lead-Alloy Core

Allows controlled expansion and optimum weight retention at all practical velocity levels. The heavy jacketed base prevents bullet deformation during firing.

3. Heavy Jacketed Base

Acts as a platform for a large-diameter mushroom.

4. Ballistically Engineered Solid Base®

Boat tail configuration combines with the streamlined polymer tip for extreme long-range performance, and for easier loading.

1800fps - 86% WR

  • Sounded great, but not so much
Review by Shorty / (Posted on 4/7/2018)
Couldn't get these bullets to stabilize in either 300 BO rifle. One is a 16 inch Ruger with 1x7 twist, other a custom built 8.5 inch AR pistol with 1x7 twist. Consistent keyholes at 50 yards and that's with numerous powder charges and 2 different powders. Changing COAL and powder charge didn't seem to help. These should be great subsonic bullets if I can get them to shoot right.
  • Subsonic Whitetail
Review by Richard / (Posted on 11/27/2017)
Center chest hit. Bullet entered thoracic cavity unmolested by bone. Took out leading lobe of lung and entered top of heart. Then exited mid heart. Whitetail ran 25 yards and expired.

Autopsy showed good expansion and penetration.
