AccuBond® 6mm 90 Grain Bullet (50ct)

Through an exclusive bonding process that eliminates voids in the bullet core, AccuBond® couples Nosler's proven copper-alloy jacket with its special lead-alloy core. The result is a bullet that flies true, penetrates deep and retains its weight, without causing extensive barrel fouling. The unique white polymer tip resists deforming and initiates expansion on impact. Nosler's Solid Base® at the rear of the bullet acts as a platform for large diameter mushrooms.
Minimum Velocity: 1800 fps (549 mps)
Maximum Velocity: Unlimited

  • Proven terminal performance at close range
Review by John / (Posted on 1/13/2018)
I hand loaded the 90 gr Accubond this past deer season for my 240 WBY to test if this bullet would stay intact should a close range shot be encountered (shots 30yds or less). My hand loaded ammunition averages 3241 fps, so I was banking on the customers positive reviews of this bullet to stay intact. In past seasons I had been using a 30-06 loaded with factory ammo (150 gr Fusion) and in three separate occasions where shots were 10 to 20 yards, the bullet came apart and did not exit. All three deer were cleanly dispatched and did not require tracking but gave me reason to try something new. I had never shot a whitetail deer with the 240 WBY and decided the time had come. So the opportunity came with a whitetail buck slowly walking across the trail at less than 30 Yds. I made a clean shot and the deer bolted off the trail and immediately stopped not even 10 yards from where he was shot. The muzzle blast is so loud at such close proximity that the deer could not tell where it came from. My hand was on the bolt but I did not rack another round into the chamber. The noise from working the action would give my location away. That deer didn’t know what hit him and he had less than 10 seconds to figure it out before he dropped to the ground. The deer had been shot through the heart (the lower tip was actually separated) and the bullet exited the opposite side. That’s what optimum terminal ballistics are all about. Thank You Nosler for an excellent bullet!
