  • Awesome Brass
Review by Kendall H. Corpus Christi, TX / (Posted on 12/14/2018)
I have been loading my rounds for precision shooting going on 10 years. I know that's not long for others. In that time i have loaded most of the brass MFR's. Now bare with me on the next. To be honest, i have found that Lapua brass & Nosler bras are the best to load, that being said, Lapua brass is way to expensive. When i say best i mean that. That being said, i have received the same results from Nosler Brass at a fraction of the cost of the Lapua brass. Over the years, i have learned that the longest process in loading, is measuring the cartridge OAL and having to trim it back after the cartridge has been fired and the cases stretch. The Lapua brass holds its OAL just as good as Lapua and better than any other brass out there in the marked. When i listed Nosler behind Lapua, I didn't mean that as to call Nosler brass as a close second to Lapua. Let me make this clear. Nosler brass is NOT second to Lapua, Nosler bras is just as good as the overpriced Lapua brass. I have several boxes of another MFR's brass (fancy, shiny, red and black boxes starts / an H) That once i'm done with that brass, i will not use again. It stretches every time it's fired and you have to trim it every time. I am not saying that you don't have to trim Nosler or Lapua, you just don't have to trim them every single time. On my Scale, Nosler brass rates 5 out of 5.
