Nosler® 17 Rem Premium Brass (100ct)
Nosler Brass is sized, trimmed to length, case mouth is deburred and chamfered, flash hole deburred, weight sorted, polished and finally inspected and packaged ... meaning all the prep work has been done before you open the box. All it needs is a primer, powder and a Nosler bullet seated at the top.

Reduced case volume can result in extreamly high pressures. Do not use the same powder loads that you have been using with other brands of brass when using Nosler brass when loading 17 Rimington.Review by Jeff / (Posted on 5/15/2019)I have been shooting a heavy barreled Sako with Remington brass and 25 grain bullet to harass ground squirrels for many years. To group well, I have found that this rifle requires maximum recommended loads and I had not changed my pet load for many years. When I tried Nosler brass I immediately encountered over pressure issues. In the most extreme case the diameter of the case at the base was swelled .015", the primer hole swelled to .030" oversize, and the area behind the extraction groove in the bolt was extruded .025" into the cutout.
Upon checking 20 random samples, the internal volume of the new unfired Nosler brass, it was found to be 7.8% less (6.5% less after being fired once) than the Remington brass that I had been using for years. This resulted in very high pressures with previously tried and true loads.
This Nosler brass appears in all respects to be well made, but you need to start from scratch and conservatively work up different loads and you cannot mix this brass with other brands (at least Remington) to safely use it.
