  • Great Round for Whitetail under 200 yards
Review by Frank the Tank / (Posted on 11/8/2019)
Very flat shooting and more than adequate for whitetail. I use this for my son when he's using my 30-06. The thing I love about this round is that it is so flat shooting that I can tell him to aim where he wants to hit out to 150 yards (which is the longest shot we have on our place) and pull the trigger. No need to make him think about holdover or hold under. Zero the sites at 100 yards on the range and let him go at it. The round is explosive when it hits too, lots of energy and penetration. He hit a button buck last year in the neck, quartering away from him. Not the greatest shot in the world but worked for a 13 year old. Blew out the jugular and trachea with a huge exit wound. The deer didn't run too far before settling down to bleed out. I've stocked up on these rounds.
